A Breeder I love my little puppy; she makes my house a home. She is my very sweetest little friend; I never feel alone. She makes me smile; She makes me laugh; She fills my heart with love . . . Did some person breed her, or did she fall from above? I've never been a breeder, never seen life through their eyes; I hold my little puppy and just sit and criticize. I've never known their anguish; I've never felt their pain, the caring of their charges, through snow or wind or rain. I've never waited the whole night through for babies to be born, The stress and trepidation when they're still not there by morn. The weight of responsibility for this body in my hands, This darling little baby, who weighs but 60 grams. Should you do that instead of this . . . or maybe that was wrong? Alone you fight and hope, one day, he'll grow up proud and strong. You pray he'll live to bring great joy to someone else's home. You know it's all just up to you; you'll fight this fight alone. Formula, bottles, heating pads, you've got to get this right, two-hour feedings for this tiny guy, throughout the day and night. Within your heart you dread that you will surely lose this fight, To save this little baby, but God willing . . . you just MIGHT. Day one; he's in there fighting; you say a silent prayer. Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care. Day four & five . . . he's still alive; your hopes soar to the heavens. Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven. You take this little angel, and bury him alone. With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan, You ask yourself, "Why do this? . . . Why suffer through this pain?" Yet watch the joy your puppies bring, and everything's explained. So, when you think of breeders and label them with "Greed," Think of all that they endure to fill another's need. For when you buy your puppy, with your precious dollars part, You only pay with money . . . while they pay with all their heart .... Author Unknown....

#1 Wonderful Care - Necessary vet care during pregnancy & shortly after birth and also throughout the 8 weeks we get to enjoy the puppies. (Also all of our pups are assisted by TWO registered nurses during the delivery process).
Just an FYI- Regardless of where you purchase your puppy from. Please consider, even if they are located on acres and acres of land, it means nothing if they are confined to a "Kennel Life". Dogs were not meant to be termed as "Breeders" they were meant to be respected as man's best friend and NOT stockpiled in a cage to push out babies for profit. Whelping areas should be clean, tidy, warm, and comfortable. Also we feel it is important for our females to be with us when they have their pups, have us help provide as much support to her as we can, and keep the whole birthing (whelping), rearing, and weaning as comfortable as possible. Puppies should not be shy, timid, trembly, or afraid. Their ears, eyes, & fur should be clean and nails trimmed. They should not have pot-bellies as that may be a clue of worm issues. Personalities do emerge by 8 weeks, so those early weeks with the breeder do make a difference! Pups should never go until 8 weeks of age or later! Please use caution, ask questions, do your homework! Your pup with thank you for it... For the next 12-15 years or so.
NEWS: We now have a doppler machine which can be used to monitor puppies during the pregnancy and during the labor as well. This will eliminate the need for the uncomfortable X-Rays to determine puppy size and gives us a great advantage on monitoring the status of the pups before they are even born. Litter size can also be closely estimated as well.

#2 The amount of time we spend- We are continuously caring for the puppies under our very watchful eyes, weekly bathing and grooming, daily oral & paw stimulation, nail trimming, socialization, 1:1 attention, and cuddling!

#3 Providing Training Concepts- They are already getting head starts on training for starter commands and housebreaking. We work on terms for "potty, come, down/off, no/leave it, and treat".

#4 Maintaining Safe and Comfortable Environment- We provide proper temperature controls and very clean cozy environment located in a specially made whelping/nursing box located right in our home under our constant supervision...After all, they are babies!

#5 Nutritionally Complete Diets- All of our dogs are fed Iams/Eukanuba/Purina One blends. The pups have carefully monitored nutritional regimes offered at specific appropriate stages of weaning.

#6 Health Screening/Certifications We complete health screenings and certifications on our dogs at the appropriate stages to ensure creating the healthiest puppies possible!
#7 Our Philosophy We do not own dogs to "run a business". They do not live in a kennel. They are members of our family. We share our lives with them and they are like our furry little "children". We give our dogs the utmost care socially, medically, nutritionally, and we reap the many rewards and joys of having the unconditional love only a beloved dog can give. Our entire family really enjoys the whole experience. Except for letting go.... That's the hardest part!!!
