Week 7
Page 2
They come running when we click
our tongue or make kissing noises!
Daisy waits at the door. They are
getting the idea!
Ellie has the "Sit" concept... but
only for a few moments!
They don't want to be in the kitchen
with out me... Oooh how cute!
Jax comes for his name... and he
will come for his siblings name...
he comes for any name now that I
think about it!
Oscar is always so intent on what
we are doing. His main goal is to
get us to pick him up FIRST! He
sure has the "puppy dog eyes"
trick down pat!
Just after their baths, it's
playtime in the kitchen. They
wanted to go outside but its too
late for that and they aren't
totally dry yet. So they need
someone to play with.... As soon
as I walk through that gate.... 9
little puppies all in a row trying to
convince me they are the cutest
one and should be snuggled first!

So what have we been up to:
Mr Dark Blue and Mr. Red are still the bigger boys with Mr. Green and
Mr Yellow really close behind. Mr. Light Blue is still the most petite of
the boys and Miss Dark Pink is the most petite of the girls. Miss Purple
has almost lost her little white spot on her head, but you can still find it
if you look for it. Miss Light Pink cocks her head to the side when you
talk to her. Mr. Green figures out how to escape in the middle of the
night from the whelping box, and he has taught the others how to also!
Mr. Dark Blue was a little impatient last week but the last week of play
with his siblings has taught him some patience and he has learned to play
more nicely with others. A chomp on the tail earns a chomp back by
another one... and that doesn't feel so good.
The seventh and eighth weeks are where they advance socially and they
learn about cause and effect. It is a really good time for them to have
their siblings to practice on and learn from. It has really been a big
difference this week from last week. They were really tugging and
chomping on each other last week during their play time and rough
housing a lot. This week they are a little more respectful of others
feelings. It is so much fun to see their personalities grow and see them
learn from their experiences.

They are also learning
our usual ways of carrying about tasks and are able
to predict things already!
They know when I come to the box I always go to the front right side
first, so they head there. When my husband comes in they know he heads
for the back of the box to clean up messes so they head there. They
know when they get out of the nursery box in the morning they get to go
to the kitchen, they all make a run for it straight to the kitchen. When
they go outside to play they have learned the neighbors have young
children and as soon as we set them down, they head for their door.
They are soooo very smart!
