| Week 7 Wow can you believe it... ONE MORE WEEK! The time is sure flying by an as usual we've been growing, growing, and growing. Not to mention EATING! Wow it is amazing what 21 of us can polish off, and just how quickly we can do it too! We've been playing outside and getting to know the neighborhood kids.... Yep the word finally got out about us... and you guessed it. WE ARE THE HOT TOPIC around here. There might be alot of us but there are just as many kids to come play with us too. We love to play "PUPPY PILE UP" when they first come in by us. You have to be a "brave" kid to do that because we all come at ya... can't let one puppy get more snuggle time than the other... that wouldn't be fair! We have also decided that we want to be outside with those kids ALL THE TIME. And we are voicing our opinions on it too. Here's how it works... We are all sound asleep throughout the night. Then we hear our people get up and go into the bathroom next to our room... the water gets turned on and we know someone is coming in by us. Tucker and Koda jump to their feet. Willow, Olive, and Brandie work on waking up the rest of the sleepy group. We all run around our play area (Which by the way is now a large "L" shape and we are all together) after we have gotten up but then Harley, Chance, and Ariyanna decide it was just a false alarm so they climb into the little crate we have inside of our area and snuggle back in. Koda tries to tell everyone that its not a false alarm... The people are up!... but no one listens. The door knob turns and Shelby, Olive, and Tucker run to the door of the puppy area, but they run to the wrong end. Willow, Ruth, and Brandie have already made it to the other side and as soon as all of us see the people our tails go crazy we start pushing each other over and we know its BREAKFAST time... yummy. And there's a few barks here and there while everyone is getting into place to eat but we get it worked out. Then total silence....... until we are done eating. NOW WE WANT OUT! Where are those kids? We want to go play? Who cares if it is 7am.... kids don't sleep that late... do they? KIDS KIDS KIDS we bark. So on goes the radio, and we settle down, we snuggle in for a little nap and some of us play a while. And now sometimes our people come and get a few pups and take them outside... sometimes they come back with Big Happy smiles saying "GOOD JOB" and sometimes they say... "We'll give you a few more minutes and then you can try again!" Apparently they are trying to train us... But we still use the paper. We only have about 15-30 seconds warning and the people just can't move that fast. They say that will get better as we get older though! We have a hard time waiting for those kids to come to play with us. But our people take a few of us at a time to play in the living room and in the kitchen. We get to go out into the outside kennel area too now. That's fun! We only go out for about an hour at a time and then we come back in and some play with the people, some go take naps, and some play in our play area inside. We've been trying really hard to learn all of our puppy lessons so we can be very well behaved for our new families. We are also hoping our good looks will get us out of the little bit of trouble we are bound to get into! |
